History and Accrediation
Our Preschool program is designed to provide a quality Christ-centered education experience for all children enrolled. The Preschool Program recognizes that God, family, and the home are the first and most significant influences on a child’s life. Therefore, we strive to strengthen and compliment these influences by giving each child the freedom to develop to his/her capacity in a warm, caring, and educational environment. We provide periods of self-selected play in social interaction as well as planned group activities. We believe that creativity and free expression are enhanced through an overall orderly routine and behavioral limits that encourage self-control and respect for the rights of others. We emphasize mutual respect among the children and teachers.
Meadowbrook Preschool accepts all children regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, or sex. The needs of handicapped children will be considered on a case by case basis to determine whether our facilities and staff are capable of meeting the needs of the individual child.
Meadowbrook Preschool is an outreach ministry of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church and is a non profit organization. The Church Council of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church governs it. The Preschool has operated continuously since 1969 and is inspected by the Missouri Department of Health & Public Safety. Our staff is screened by the Missouri Department of Social Services and is in accordance with the United Methodist Church Policy on Safe Sanctuary.
